If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Did you block that site with Adblock Plus?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thank you I did start with safe mode and you tube worked. But as I logged off and back on But I ran into the same problem. I would like to zero in on the plug in that is responsible for this and permanently disable it. What is the name of that plugin? I have Firefox 7. Yes I believe it was Adblock plus. A little tab on the top right of the you tube video.

Thank you again Deft maiden
