I want to open links & sites in a new window and not a new tab, how can I do that?

Uncheck: Firefox > Preferences > Tabs: [ ] "Open new windows in a new tab instead"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
