It's still so inconvenient when I turn on the "minimize to tray" option in settings. Clicking "Minimize" does move to the tray, but clicking "Close" immediately exits. The ideal logic is: when Thunderbird is opened, it immediately creates and activates the tray

Check out the addon, minimize on startup.

Check out the addon, minimize on startup.

So, how do you minimize it when you click the "Close" button? Believe me, many people have this problem too.

Install the addon minimize on close. By pending the close button TB minimizes to tray and not to Taskbar.
