Had to reinstall Mozilla/Foxfire. I redownloaded Pinterest button. Once I click on Pinterest button connection to it comes up but it just hangs and never posts.

I use IE and it works.

Any ideas?

Ok, I now have 2 pinterest buttons. 1 from pinterest, 1 from foxfire/mozilla. They both work at getting to pinterest but when I click on what I want to pin to, it just hangs. ????

Are you already logged into your Pinterest account -- does that make any difference?

When I click the P button, I don't leave the site, but a bunch of thumbnail images come up for review. It sounds as though you are seeing that part.

When I click the image I want, a Pinterest page launches in a new pop-up window. (Example screenshot attached.) Do you have very strict pop-up blocking that might be interfering with this part of the process?

I'm having this exact same problem. Everything was fine until update to Quantum 2 days ago (that should teach me a lesson). Alt+Enter and right click Open in New Tab works, none of that should be necessary .... obviously. I checked the accessibility.blockautorefresh thing which was set to false. I disabled ad blocker, disabled pop-up blocking, disabled private browsing .... none made the slightest difference. Guess it's time to figure out how to "down grade" FF or switch browsers (which BTW this problem is NOT present in IE, Opera or Pale Moon....strictly in Firefox).

yes, I believe I'm able to open the pin with right click, open in new tab. But I agree that this shouldn't be necessary! I also had the same problem getting another page open- can't remember what it was. I hope FF fixes this soon or I am going back to IE. Too bad- I've used FF for many years and like the versatility.

I also had an issue on Wayfair.com yesterday with a page opening. Trying to save an item to my idea board.

My wife is also experiencing the problem Louise888 describes with Pinterest. My wife is running Firefox Quantum on Win10.

I tried to view the source of the blank page to see if there was anything about it that might give an answer to why this happens, but there's no right-click menu on the blank pages for some reason. I then pressed F12 to open the web developer tools to view the HTML that way, and as soon as I did that, the page loaded/appeared properly! I don't know why opening Firefox's web developer tools triggers the loading of the otherwise blank page, but it does.

I have also noticed that the title of the blank page appears in the tab, so the page is actually being loaded from the server, just not displaying initially...

So another workaround until this is properly fixed is to simply press F12 twice to get a blank page from Pinterest to load (once to open web developer tools and trigger the loading of the page, and then again to close web developer tools).

Hope that helps.

yes! F12 seems to make it work. Thanks! I only hope FF can get this bug fixed though.

From what the developers told me they are working with Pinterest to fix the issue. Hopefully it won't take too long.

Thanks for F12 hint. Also hopeful for fix soon. I was sure it was the Quantum update, since that's when I first noticed, but I "downgraded" to previous version, all good for the first day, then started doing the same thing again. Weird, right?

If you 'downgrade' Firefox to fix/test this issue, I'd suggest backing up your existing (Quantum) profile folder, then starting afresh with a brand-new profile in the downgraded Firefox. That way, you're not carrying over anything from Quantum that may be affecting this.

that is weird. I didn't have any problems at all until I upgraded to Quantum.

I am also getting issues with Wayfair.com trying to save items to my idea board. But I thought I would wait on that one since Pinterest is more important to me for business purposes

I discovered something interesting last night, quite by accident. In addition to the above discussed problem with Pinterest/blank pages, all of my internet browsing had become so incredibly painfully slow, I was about ready to scream (and did a couple of time). I'm not a techie and have no ability nor inclination to poke around checking and/or changing any kind of configuration files, etc., so the only thing that came to mind was to disable the ad blocker, just to see if that could be what was slowing things down so much, not even thinking of the Pinterest problem at that time. So I disabled U-block, and lo and behold, pages loading much, much faster AND AND AND I can click on a Pinterest link and it takes me right to the requested page, no right click, no F12, just click "normal: and just bada bing there it is, no blank pages! I was thrilled, of course, but I really do hate all the ads, so as the next step, I installed/enabled a different ad blocker, AdBlocker Ultimate, and as of right now (at least) pages loading normally and Pinterest working normally. I don't know what the odds are that everyone have similar problem has same ad blocker or if the whole thing is just a very big coincidence, but I wanted to pass this along just in case it could help anyone else. Then, of course, the whole thing could crop up again, who knows, but for now I'm good.

Thanks for your input, appreciate the time you took to reply. However not sure what FF did but my pinterest has been working for a few weeks now and since then have had no issues. You might want to update your FF. I do notice the browser being slow at times but I do think it's been better for the past few weeks on my computer.
