How do I get Japanese Kanji & Kanna Syllabry to display correctly in FireFox?

All that's displayed are little block characters with a hexadecimal number displayed within. I know these blocks refer to specific kanji & kanna characters, but I can't get them to display correctly.

Type about:preferences#content<enter> in the address bar.

On the bottom of the page, find Languages. To its right, press the Choose button. Make sure the correct language and district are selected.

Thank You for the recommendation, but it doesn't correct the issue I'm experiencing. If I access a Japanese website like Yahoo Japan, all the kanji & kanna characters are still displayed as boxes with their respective 4 character hexadecimal addresses being presented inside each box. This used to work just fine when using FireFox, but I suffered a crash recently, and had to have my operating system reinstalled. Since this action was completed I downloaded the most recent version of FireFox and the Japanese kanji & kanna characters were no longer displayed correctly.

Perhaps you got those from somewhere else. Have you tried using a search engine?
