Firefox 42 has not been behaving well recently. It is crashing almost every time I try to print. Just bringing up the print dialog box will cause it to crash. Then the very weird thing is that after it reboots and is most definitely running, I will click on a URL and get the error message, "The application “Firefox.app” is not open anymore." but IT IS OPEN AND RUNNING!!!!

Furthermore, when I Force Quit it, I see 2 or most of the time 3 FireFox entries in the Force Quit dialog box but cannot force quit all of them...then I must reboot my computer.

HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!

I dare not try to upload a picture of this because when I tried to do so just now Firefox crashed again!!!!

I need a FireFix for FireFox!!!

Let's try a full re-install first.

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox folders by adding .old to them.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

Second thing to try,

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Download the current full installer for your Rapport program. Then remove Rapport from your system. Reboot.

Do Not install Rapport at this time. How are things now?

For some time now, a lot of Mac’s with Microsoft programs have been crashing. Check with Microsoft / Mac support sites.
