How can I create an "Undisclosed Recipient" mailing list?

more options

I have created a mailing list containing many email addresses. I was concerned when I posted an email to the list that all email addresses were displayed meaning everyone could see who I was sending to. I want to have a mailing list that doesn't show that i.e. an Undisclosed Recipient list.

Still trying to find how to add a bcc: line. Any insights welcome. I went into Alt+T Copies and Folders and only see a field for entering a static bcc entry that is intended to be sent every time. That isn't my situation. I want to be able to bcc different people in different e-mails.

Many thanks Matt, I replied earlier this afternoon but I've just had an email saying it hasn't gone through. My message was:

Why couldn't I think of that? Stupid, I guess. I've just sent a trial email to my list and did as you suggested and it came back to me (I'm on the list) as "Undisclosed Recipients". Just what I want.

Very many thanks for your help, much appreciated. Regards, Malcolm

When addressing an email the first address field will open with TO: as its properties. If you click on the TO: button a drop down of choices will appear and BCC : is one of them. You can change that box on any address field you wish.

This add on claims to give you more control over BCC entries. I have never used it so I cannot say anything about how it works. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/use-bcc-instead/?src=ss

I can use the "Undisclosed Recipient" fine, but I want to change that designation to "Friends & Kin" as I did with my old Outlook Express. So far the answers come in as to simply using the Bcc arrangement. I have no problem with that. Anyone have an answer to my specific inquiry? CFB-

Carlisle are you on the right thread? I have no idea what you are talking about and what it has to do with the OP's question.
