Flash videos freeze
Some flash videos freeze for ½ second every 10-12 seconds. This started a few weeks ago, maybe after FF update. There are many posts on this subject in various forums, the best I found is this locked thread:
https://support.mozilla.org/sv/questions/782366
I use Flash 11.9.900.117 and Firefox 25.
Things that did NOT help:
- disabling hardware acceleration (restarted FF)
- restarting FF without plugins
- reverting to Flash 11.7
- disabling plugin container (setting environmental variable to 1)
I don't have this problem in IE. I haven't updated IE in a while so it uses Flash 11.5. A fix for watching flash videos in FF for me is using IEtab.
There is no problem with e g youtube, just some on-demand video sites.

Make sure that your security software isn't interfering with the plugin-container process.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
My problem with FF 25 and Flash 11.9 would rear it's head while listening to NPR news on their player. Frequent freezing and inability to get it going again. What worked for me was to uninstall Flash[I went to Adobe.com and got their uninstall Flash app, rather than rely on Windows uninstall]. While at Adobe, search for Flash 11.7 and download. From what I've read elsewhere, 11.7 includes the latest security patches. Be sure to uncheck the McAfee download, and check to be notified of updates, rather than have them happen automatically.
Thanks for the input
I have already tried disabling plugin container (by creating MOZ_DISABLE_OOP_PLUGINS, setting it to 1, and verifying with task manager that plugin container no longer starts)
Uninstalling with Adobes uninstaller made no difference
IE works also with Flash 11.9
Reverting to FF 24.1ESR didnt help

...and since a couple of days, when I use IEtab, the video doesn't start. Both with FF 25.0.1 and 24. Tried it on two PCs.
But all mentioned problems are only for one site, svtplay.se.
Update:
I made it work now in Firefox, using good old "IE Tab 2". I just had to change settings of IE Tab 2 from IE7 to IE9. A roundabout solution but it works.
