Mac scroll not working after update

more options

Seemingly after upgrading to the latest version (23.0.1), scrolling with my MacBook Pro's Trackpad is not working. I've reset, disabling all add-ons, which has not corrected the problem. If someone knows how I can fix this issue, please let me know. If not, does anyone know how I can go back to the previous version without losing my data? All feedback is greatly appreciated!

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

I'm on a Mac...

Try to modify the ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled pref on the about:config page from the default value -1 to 0 or 1 to see if that makes the touch pad work better.

Close and restart Firefox after changing the ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled pref.

  • ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled (-1) (-1:autodetect;0:off;1:on)

Hmmm. Don't seem to have that pref. Thanks for the input though.

Have you tried to create that pref (with a right click on about:config)? Or try in a "test" profile?

I apologize for giving you a Windows answer. It just slipped my mind, the fact that you are using a Mac.

Sorry.
