I have address books for my Montana high school reunion for classes 1956 and 1957. Also have an antique car address book along with a figure skating book. All in all I have 6 different address books. Thunderbird displays and uses 0 (yes zero) address books !

This looks like an invitation to use another e-mail client program that actually works, dies it not ?

Please let me know if you have a solution to this lack or address book usage.

Can you try this? 1. Click on the menu button, then go to Help and select Troubleshooting Information. 2. Profile Folder - Click on Open Folder. Your Thunderbird profile folder will open in Windows Explorer. 3. Close Thunderbird. 4. Search these files: abook.mab, abook.mab.bak, abook.sqlite, history.mab, history.mab.bak, history.sqlite - and move them (not delete nor copy) in a folder from desktop 5. After that these 2 files - abook.mab.bak and history.mab.bak - you need to copy them back on that profile folder and after were copied, in that profile folder (not those from desktop) rename them to: abook.mab and history.mab 6. Open Thunderbird and check
