my lap top is flickering

I have two problems.

I received new Firefox through a newsletter and installed new Firefox quantum and after finish I started noticing flickering of the screen.

Flicking stops sometimes and then the screen settles down.

Second, I hear bell sound.

I use a HP laptop which is old - 10 yrs My Laptop is otherwise fine. I have anti virus program installed in my Laptop.

Kindly help to solve this problem

Quantum won't install in a 10 year old laptop - it doesn't support either WinXP or Operating Systems which would have been available 10 years ago. Oldest Windows version is now Windows 7 which was released on July 22, 2009 - slightly over 8 years ago.
