I am using Mac OS Ventura 13.6.9. I have been a Thunderbird user for many years. Since this last update, I have started having issues where not all emails are displaying. Seems like most recent emails open correctly, but when I get to emails that are a day or 2 old, I get the the following banner across the top of the screen when the email opens, but can't open the remainder of the email.
I have attached a screenshot to show what I am seeing.
I am using gmail and I can access the emails in gmail, but not in Thunderbird. What is the fix for this?

I'm following the steps: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Exchange

I have an Outlook email account with multiple aliases. If I send an email from the default outlook account, all is well. However, if I try and send an email from one of the aliases I get the following error.
"Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'."
Setting on the alias accocunts are the same as the default.
Sending an email from the alias accounts in Win 10 mail works.
Please advise.

Hi Guys, I wonder if you can help . I have had Monzilla Thunderbird App for some while , primarily used for email, and access to my email account with Microsoft and has always been a bit of a pain to say the least. That I fear is because it was never set up properly by myself in the first place.
However, at the moment I can't receive any email from my PC ......."bards@btconnect.com " unless I sign in via a webpage. However, access via my smartphone using supplied Outlook email app, no problem.
So I am hopeful that you guys can help me sort out my PC access once and for all.
The current problem has arisen after receiving a forced donation / subscription page from Mozilla having made my donation I still do not have access to my email and folders.
Brief history: i. Originally PC access to account via Monzilla working fine, (donations made at intervals to Monzilla). ii. Microsoft then changed security systems and servers and with current setup at the time I couldn't get access to email incoming or outgoing ( problem with Imap / PoP3 servers). iii. Fix provided by Monzilla with new account denoted as .... bards@btconnect.com (OWL) whatever OWL stands for I do not know, (annual subscription required). iv. Even with the use of this get around , I still had problems sending mail this I believe was a problem down to default passwords and old server settings. (confliction between default settings and original account settings and use of OWL ? ). v. As mentioned above the current problem has arisen after receiving a forced donation / subscription page from Mozilla having made my donation I still do not have access to my email. problem with server settings again. Don't know what's going on ? and I am thoroughly confused and would appreciate some help getting things back on track. I recently came across the Thunderbird versions are being mentioned as "esr".
In 115.0 version, I see "esr" is added from the 115.10.2esr to 115.14.0esr, the latest version. I also do not see any change in the installers provided. I would like to understand what is the difference between the previous versions and the versions with "esr"?
In 128.0 version, I can see only 128.0.1esr and 128.1.0esr. Is there no normal updates? Now only esr is supproted?
I had version 115.0 installed but I was able to upgrade to 128.1.0esr without any issue. Is this supported?

Just had the most recent upgrade to Thunderbird. I now get a microsoft message when trying to download new messages, saying it cannot access an invalid certificate. Prior to this upgrade, I had to manually validate the certificate for my email provider every time I re-opened THunderbird, or tried to send outgoing emails. Although inconvenient, this system worked and I could use the email provider system. Thunderbird will not download any emails now or give me the usual error message that I can manually override to get emails to work. The mail server is: mail.besttelecom.net.au

For the past week or two, TB only downloads 3 or 4 (never more than 4) messages at a time from my Gmail. Now, instead of just starting TB and it downloading all new messages, I have to click Get Messages multiple times to retrieve everything. I have seen similar questions here and the answers have all been variations of blaming the user. So: a) I have not changed any settings. b) It used to download all available messages, whether when TB started up or when I clicked Get Messages. c) Just now on starting TB, it took 6 clicks to retrieve 20 message. They are all text, no attachments, so the total size would be in KB, not MB. d) Using Speedtest, my connection speed is over 300 MB/second so it isn't a connection speed limit on my side. And I doubt it is a speed limitation on Gmail's side.
With all of that in mind, I would appreciate any suggestions of what could be causing the problem and what the fix might be.
