Firefox version 4.0.1 can import bookmarks from ie but when I click on the Firefox star I get a panel with a bunch of choices

As stated earlier I am able to import my bookmarks from ie but instead of appearing normally, after clicking the star, I get a panel titled "edit this bookmark"? I don't want to edit anything. I just want my bookmarks to appear in a pull down. What am I doing wrong?

The "Star" is used to save a new bookmark, not to view existing bookmarks.

Click the orange Firefox button, then select Bookmarks in the right-column. Alternately, you can hit the Alt key to show the Menu bar and then use the Bookmarks menu item.

If the orange Firefox button doesn't show, click on Bookmarks on the Menu bar.

Also, you can open the Bookmarks Sidebar by using { Ctrl + B } on the keyboard.
