Using Vista Home with Windows firewall and F-Secure on Wild Blue satellite connection. Recently became very hard to get Firefox or other browsers to load completely. Troubleshooting the internet connection always returns the message "IS Filter Callout may need to be adjusted" but can't figure out how to do it. There is currently no information on this problem on this site, and no good info from a google search unless you pay for it. Free answers always better!

Hello Windward.

If this problem shows on different browsers, it's probably a problem with your computer or network setup, and not with Firefox.

Doesn't Wild Blue satellite have a support forum for their service?

My guess would be that it is related to software installed for that internet service or the land-line part of that service.

Morbus, I should have said that I don't suspect Firefox, but in that case maybe I should not have posted the question here. From what I can tell, the IS filter is a Windows Vista deal. I never saw it on XP. I will see check out the Windows help site also.

edmeister, you are right, I will contact Wild Blue also. Google shows that there are problems with IS filter callout, but I am surprised that there is not more information there on how to fix it. I found only one site with a solution, for a charge.
