My Firefox refuses to load MetaCPAN's OpenSearch.xml file, even though I can access it without problems.

So this got me thinking, as Opensearch files are relatively easy to write, is it possible to import my own opensearch.xml into Firefox?

If it's impossible, I'll submit a ticket to bugzil.la.

This ...... works, as a third party tool, of course. But I think it would be convenient for it to be part of Firefox core.

Adding the search engine works fine for me on the latest Firefox, using the add option in the search bar or the address bar. Maybe check the browser console when you are adding it for any issues?
