How do I find password manager, help on web does not address my version
I've looked at many websites which wither refer to "menu icon" or "options" in the menu bar. My version 68.4.1 has neither and no references to password manager that I can fine. Thanks, Steve

Since you're on Linux, the path is Edit/Preferences/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords.

How is this related to Thunderbird?
I currently running 68.5.0 though I don't think this has changed in some time. You can get to it with the menu icon->options->options->Security->Password->Saved passwords. Or using the top menu: Tools->options->Security->Password->Saved passwords. If you don't have the top menu visible all the time, tap the Alt key. (And while you have it visible, you might consider right-clicking in the menu area and making it visible all the time. It sounds like you may not have the mail tool bar visible either so consider checking that one as well.)

sfhowes,
Thank you! Very perceptive!
I really didn't think about the fact that the Linux and Windows versions are actually different, which is doubly embarrassing considering that I made my living porting software between different OS's for many years.
Might there be other differences that could possibly confuse others?
Steve
Menu differences are described here:

Besides the differences between OS types, there is the inexplicable inconsistency between the Menu Bar and the 3-bar AppMenu, even on a single OS.
