I recently lost a session and about ten tabs, and no matter how much I try to system restore to get the session restore back, as soon as the page loads the "Well, this is embarassing" page is there for a minute with all the tabs listed, but then they all disappear and I can't get them back anymore. I can't find anyone who can help me with this issue. Can somebody tell me what to do to get my tabs back?

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode.

You can use one of these to start Firefox in Safe Mode:

  • On Windows, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut
  • On Mac, hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
  • Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more crash reports that have this format:

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.

  • You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website, or open this page via "Help > Troubleshooting Information".

Sorry, none of those worked. I can't delete the sessionstore.js because it isn't there, and anytime the computer resets I always get a blank Session Restore page. I'm just about fed up with this problem and seriously need help.
