Started this week. Instead of getting photos/pictures inline in Thunderbird emails , I am getting links for each photo. e.g. I get newspapers and articles are all links. I have to click on links to go to Firefox to view. Very time consuming. I have set privacy to allow remote content.

Check you have this setting:

  • 'View' > 'Message body as' > 'Original HTML'

Please note: Allowing all remote content from any source has it's risks. Make sure you are fully aware of what you are allowing as it is also possible to embed an executable (malware) in images. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remote-content-in-messages

Phew!, thank you. It was driving me bonkers and taking so much extra time to review my emails (very many). I was thinking that it may have been the latest update. I am most grateful for your quick response.
