When I type an e-mail address to send to one person and click on return, another line opens as if I want to send the e-mail to someone else, which I don't.

When I type an e-mail address to send to someone and press return, it opens the next line down as if I'm going to send the e-mail to someone else, which I'm not, and then I have to delete it which is annoying. It never used to happen so I don't know how I can stop this. Please help!

What makes you think you have to delete it? Just continue on with life and send the message. Thunderbird usually shows 2 or 3 address fields by default and will show a new one after hitting enter. It always has.
