I want to move messages from TBird on one Mac to TBird on another Mac which already has the account set up and messages from parallel use (that is, I have downloaded and sent mail with this machine independently from the other). Both accounts are pop accounts. I tried copying the Mail folder from the source profile and tried to import to the destination. "Import" does not recognize this source, even though the description indicates that it would import messages from mbox files.

Try the ImportExportTools add-on.

But IMAP would have been easier…

Thank you. That tool did the trick, though I had to import each folder individually. IMAP wasn't an option as I understand it since the account is pop and nothing was on the server.
