Since some time - and I am a long time user - when I react to a message that someone sent me, the original message no longer has black characters but they are turned into blue. I have no idea why this happens and I have not changed anything in my preferences, so think it is part of an "upgrade" of Thunderbird. I'm not happy with it, because if I make a print of my answer - on a black and white laser printer - I cannot read the original message anymore. So I have to make a separate print of the original message after I printed my answer to it. I now have to make two prints and use more paper, where I normally had to make only one print. I looked around under preferences, but found no option to correct this new habit of Thunderbird. :-((. I hope there is someone who knows how I can turn this new thing off and maybe there is someone at Thunderbird who understands that this "new nice blue thing" is not a good upgrade as I now have to make a lot more prints than before. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried settings>general and then reviewed color for quoted messages?
