I am having trouble while making a call on messenger by Facebook. I can answer the call but within 2-3 seconds, the call gets disconnected by showing this message "Connection lost". I cannot hear anything from the other side and vice versa. I have allowed the site to use microphone and earphone to use. Don't know what went wrong. My Firefox version is 96.0.1 for Linux and my OS is MX-Linux 21. Please help me if you can. Thanks in advance.

First try starting Firefox in troubleshoot mode to pinpoint the problem. If calling on Messenger works in that mode:

The first problem could be your Firefox privacy preferences, which can block cookies and other web technology necessary for Messenger. 1. Type about:preferences#privacy in your address bar and select Standard under Enhanced Tracking Protection. 2. You can also try disabling Enhanced Tracking Prevention for Messenger. Go to the website and select the shields icon to the left of the address bar. Toggle Enhanced Tracking Prevention off and reload.

It could also be an issue with your extensions. Go to about:addons and disable any extensions under the Extensions category.

It did not work out. Calling on Messenger does not work on troubleshoot mode. The same problem persists.
