I'm having an issue where FF causes sudden BSOD when browsing web. So far happened to me when 1) I entered some search phrase in adress bar and hit enter, 2) when I clicked to sign out from gmail.

I've got some minidump files but can't make heads or tails of it. The issue happens on FF 57 and 56.0b9, both 64 bit. I tried using Chrome for a week or so and no issues. I got back to FF and got a BSOD within a day.

Any ideas? Any help on how to diagnose it?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

You can inspect the Windows Event log to see if this provides more detail.

Ok so it's been almost a week and since I switched to 32 bit version I haven't had a signle issue yet. Could be good luck but it seems it did the trick.

If it helps anyone with a similar case: I'm running Win7 Home Ed 64bit.

If things continue beeing stable for another week I'll mark this as solved.

EDIT: Two weeks after and no BSODs. That solves it for me.

Here's another view. I have Windows 10x64 Pro FCU 1709 and IE11, Edge, Chromex64, FF57x64 (custom css) and so far no BSOD. And also most if not many BSOD is Windows O/S related. I have 64bit and so far the Addons is ok and no BSOD. It's been almost a week now and going from site to site and multiple tabs there isn't not BSOD from FF.
