Whenever I save a page, it takes two attempts to save correctly. 1st attempt, the page is saved to my bookmarks menu, despite selecting another folder. 2nd attempt, the page save correctly to the folder selected. I was wondering if anyone knew how get my browser back to one save attempt. Thanks for your help!

Firefox is my default browser. I got this message 9/2/2024: Your browser is not currently supported for streaming Live TV and DVR content with DISH Anywhere. Please use a Chrome or Safari browser to access this content. This is the first time I have had this to happen. I have always been able to get Dish Anywhere on Firefox. I called and talked with support for my Dish account and was told that there had been an update on Firefox that has caused this. Is this problem going to be corrected?

Hello, I recently upgraded my iMac and have just ported everything over. Everything seems to be fine except I cannot get Youtube to load properly. Oddly if I google a youtube video it will take me to the video and play ot however I will not see comments, related vids and cannot make fullscreen.

Here are the steps I have taken so far:

1. 1 Confirmed Youtube will work on Safari
2. 2 Updated Firefox
3. 3 Cleared Cache and Cookies
4. 4 Checked the recommended performance settings option
5. 5 Unchecked the recommended performance settings option
6. 6 Confirmed videos still will not load in troubleshooting mode
7. 7 I have no active add-ons running on the browser

Any help would be great!

The trouble I ll present you might come a bit late, I've just never thought about asking on this forum (didn't even know that it exists lol) and I spent a lot time on tutorials trying to find the solution... lol 😩

My situation : I have a laptop with debian 12 stable. Early July, I updated my apps, Firefox 128 has just been released. Since the Firefox 128 update, I can no longer execute Firefox, I always get the pop up message :

Failed to execute child process (no such file or directory)

I've tried many times to uninstall & reinstall, purge & reinstall. Still the same "failed to execute... " message. all the subsequent updates (128.X and 129.X) haven't solved this problem...

On the other hand, Firefox ESR 128 works like a charm.

Is anyone in the same situation as me ? 😕

Firefox freezes intermittently, and when I examine the situation with Windows' Task Manager, I see a large number of Firefox threads active while I have only two tabs in use, and memory usage running rapidly up to the 50-70% range (I have 16 GB). While I'm not qualified, it seems there may be a memory leak issue. The situation clears itself after a just few or a few tens of seconds, but then may recur within a minute or so. This started a few weeks ago, now happens almost daily and is making Firefox, my preferred browser, somewhat unusable.

My system: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 10 Pro OS Build 19045.4842 Firefox Version 115? VPN Windscribe Version 2.10.16

Hello. How do I do if I want Firefox to open a new window every time I click on the icon? I tried to insert the command "-new-window URL", which used to work before but it doesn´t anymore. Is there anybody out there who knows something about this?

Somebody better answer me as I am about to switch my default browser from Firefox to something else. I have already asked this question but never received any response. For a long time now I keep running across sites that do not work on Firefox. It can be a streaming site such as Paramount+ or it could be my phone service site Ting. In all of the cases and there have been quite a few I am always able to find another browser the sites will work on. 9 times out of 10 they will work on Chrome but I have found at least one that does not work there but will work on Edge. So, right now Edge is the prime candidate to switch to. I do not want to quit as it would be a pain in the ass as I have been a loyal user for at least 15 years and have stuck with you as I believe in what you are doing and represent but it is becoming to much of a pain to continue using you because I like the convenience of using only 1 browser 99% of the time. i got this long bookmarklet https://pastebin.com/MZmzEy5C and its working on google chrome but not on firefox when i add it on firefox nothing happens no errors too so whats wrong? thanks for advance replies, btw this bookmarklet is use for my huawei modem web control panel it adds a lot of functionality to it

All other modern browsers have autofill as standard for names, addresses, phone numbers and emails.

I am in the UK and just started using Firefox and really love it but the problem is is that there's no way to turn on autofill.

Looking into it, the only way is to change your language to US and then the option will come up. However, it doesn't then work as it won't let you enter UK formatted addresses or phone numbers.

Why is such a basic feature missing from the UK version and does anyone know when it will release to the UK?

So, it happened again today. Saw their commercial on TV today and went to legacybox.com (NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE; they transfer VHS tapes, and other stuff, to digital) and got an email from them after closing the browser tab and leaving their website. While I didn't open the email, their email Subject/title was "Thanks for stopping by...".

All I did was look around their website for a few minutes AND DID NOT GIVE THEM MY EMAIL ADDRESS!

This is EXTREMELY DISTURBING!

PLEASE, If anyone here has the Video DownloadHelper extension installed in Firefox AND their Companion App (it costs ~$28, I think.. so don't bother if you don't have it). And make sure you've updated to a recent version, WHERE THEY HAVE YOUR EMAIL/Licens# IN THE SETTINGS (L click on the VDH icon, click on the gear icon, and at the bottom of the menu, click on "More settings....". If your email is there, PLEASE GO TO Legacybox.com AND SEE IF THIS SITE SENDS YOU AN EMAIL as this may help to confirm if Firefox is leaking emails thru that app. Thanks!

Hi everyone I'm trying to definitely restore my browser to start it from zero, since I'm leaving Edge to get back to firefox after some months. Problem is, everytime I try to restore setting, it automatically imports data (like history and bookmarks) and i must say it's NOT from another browser, but probably from my old profile. Saw a topic here saying i should disable some sync option, but this just doesn't work for me since I didn't even log into my profile. Firefox imports these data immediately when i click the restore button. Can someone help me on this?

I've just reset my Mozilla account password after having received multiple emails with authorization codes that failed. Prior to that, my password was rejected several times and I was asked for my 'one-time recovery key' (or something close to that). I couldn't find this, assuming I actually set one up, so proceeded and accepted that I may lose some bookmarks or other account-related items. Is there more information on what might be lost?

(For what it's worth, I've had this account for a long time. I've used it at work and home. I will retire in a few months and have been changing (or deleting) existing Firefox logins to a new non-work email address, using Thunderbird as a mail client. If there are any guidelines concerning an organized approach to doing this, please point me to them.)
