Running Firefox 20.0 under openSUSE Linux 12.2 I'm unable to see pictures of parts in galleries at Newegg.Com whereas the same pictures are visible in Firefox 20.0 under Windows XP Pro. Other websites like TigerDirect do not have this problem. These pictures were visible under previous versions of Firefox. I don't know if Newegg changed the file type for their parts pictures or not. I am assuming that this is a problem within Firefox until I can prove otherwise. Email regarding this problem sent to Newegg staff was not replied. I am hoping that someone in the Firefox community can help me with this. One example of this problem is in their pictures for the ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Rev 2.0 - Newegg part number N82E16813131877 at this web page: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131877 Please help me to resolve this problem. Newegg is one of my favorite supplier of computer parts. I don't want to have to boot up Windows just to be able to see the pictures of parts.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

  • Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
  • Check that images are enabled: Edit > Preferences > Content: [X] Load images automatically
  • Check the exceptions in "Edit > Preferences > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
  • Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).

If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.image pref should be 1.
