It's 2024 and we still don't have the option on have firefox for android to allow us to "save page as". Why not? I don't like saving as pdf files.

Hi

Given that Firefox for Android cannot open any webpages that have been saved to your Android device, the ability to be able to save them is currently unavailable.

You can still save pages as a .pdf file or take a screenshot to be able to save web content.
