If you are talking about sync, sync is an option. Shut down sync from here.

Type about:accounts<enter> in the address box.

[v57+] Type https://accounts.firefox.com/settings<enter> in the address box.

You do not need to sync to another device in order to use Firefox whether on one or multiple devices.

Firefox itself is a web browser and not a homepage or website.
