Antimalware Doctor suddenly appeared today, constant pop up demanding purchae, can't uninstall

it closes my browser, attempts to uninstall only open the program, constant pop ups with threat messages ie 'your computer is under attack from trojans etc' . Have full antivirus, browser and plug ins up to date etc. How do I get rid of this
