Every time I click on a link after searching something in the Yahoo search bar, it pulls up a completely new tab; how can I keep it all in the same tab?

Basically, I would like to know if it's possible to for search links to stay in the same tab instead of pulling up a completely new tab. For example, when I search 'puppies' in the search bar, it will pull up a page of search results. However, if I click on one of the results, such as 'Free Puppies in New York,' it will pull up a completely new tab. How can I remove this feature?

Is this new? I get the same thing.

When I closed the new tab, I noticed a message floating in the lower right of the results page (screenshot attached) to turn that off. Can you find a similar message?

If not, try this settings page:

https://search.yahoo.com/preferences/preferences

I assume that those settings are saved in a cookie (or in your account), so if you clear cookies and use Yahoo anonymously in the future, you'll probably be right back to the default settings.
