How do I disable maximize?

more options

For security reasons I do not want my browsers maximized. FF has all of a sudden taken to opening maximized. Sure I can right click and unmaximize, but that's annoying. I should be th one in control of whether or not windows, applications, etc. maximize, minimize, not the program

Thank you.

However I went to about:config, scrolled down to all the doms. I found a bunch of disable_window files, but they all have something following _window, e.g., _flip; _move_resize; as I look more closely at dom.disable_window_move_resize is set to false, maybe this needs changing.

Did you try to set dom.disable_window_move_resize to true?

Try to rename/remove the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Open the link I posted. It will explain what the setting are.

As to about:config ; Enter dom.disable_window in the search bar. From this list, set everything to True.

I set all dom.disable_window to true: same behaviour

I deleted xulstore.json: same results.

I'm beginning to think it might be a gnome issue.

Thank you for all your help.
