When I open a .jpg file, the Firefox web browser window width is too big. I want to change the default window width. Which item in about:config controls this setting and what value should I enter to have a default window width of approximately half the screen size?

Hi, is there a way to disable, or even better, remove entirely, the Google translate bar that is shown on some pages? See attachment. The image is from the following page: https://support.plex.tv/articles/share-and-report/

I have tried to modify 'browser.translations' related settings in 'about:config' page, but no luck so far. If I open the same link in Edge, page is shown without the bar.

Using Win 11 + Firefox 129.0.1.

Cannot access local address 192.168.1.1 which is the address of the GUI interface to my ISP Gateway settings menu. I need it to be able to make changes to the Gateway settings.

I use to get displayed "Advanced" that allowed me to continue forward to get to an "insecure site", only recently that has not been happening (so I am stuck).

Any suggestions, advice, and/or workarounds are appreciated.

So my Question is is there any way to prevent Firefox to change the Profile after Updating. Because i work in IT thats why the Security is a Problem so i cant just leave an older Version on every System. The Problem is the Customer dont want to change it everytime.

In the older Firefox version (92), I could instantly open JNPL files by selecting "Open with Default Use JAVA (TM)". However, in the latest Firefox version 127, while the option is still available, it doesn't instantly open JNPL files. Every time I have to click to open the JNPL file.

Hello. I got a new pc and I am trying to sync my Mozilla account right now but I am not getting a the code to my email so I can not login to the account. The mail in question is *@cock.li that I have all my old data on.

Most tabs that I open now crash. This has been a steadily building problem that now has made the system basically unusable. I did try clearing history, cookies, etc., but that did not help. Even working tabs can crash when I go back to view them. It doesn't matter if it is a saved site, or a brand new one typed in.

I've been using Firefox for years on Windows 10 and earlier, and I just got a new Windows 11 laptop. On the new machine my bookmarks sidebar doesn't persist. I launch Firefox and open it, but when I exit Firefox and launch it again the sidebar is gone. I have to re-open it every time. This is not the behavior I experience on my other machines. Is there a setting in about:config that I need to change?

I recently added the "Display Autoplay" extension. I can't seem to figure out how to get the icon to show in the tool bar. See Attached acreen shot. That's assuming that this extension icon can be added to the tool bar. I look forward to anyone's comments. Thanks

Hello. I want to check the box for "Open previous windows and tabs," but it is grayed out so I cannot check it. Why is this not available to me? Please fix for me.

Just starting up Firefox on my Windows 11 desktop initiates 9 firefox processes - see attached. Is there anyway to reduce the number of processes and the memory they seem to occupy by possibly going into the Windows registry and making changes to any Firefox configuration settings? If I dont get a satisfactory solution I will have to uninstall Firefox and use the default MS Edge which is not my preferred browser choice.

I cannot find, from the Menu bar, Tools, Settings, General, scroll to bottom to Config Editor I have not been able to find this "Config Editor". I also did not find .css file in that I might be able to modify. I am not understanding why the option isn't present in the settings for Firefox!

I use Firefox Nightly 131, because it have vertical tabs, but why you still have a empty top bar? can I hide it?What's the difference between that and horizontal tabs? It takes up just as much space.

I have a subscription to the FAZ and have always been able to read it in Firefox. Now that I have a new computer with the latest Windows 11 and the latest Firefox, I can no longer open the page https://zeitung.faz.net/. But it works fine in Google Chrome. Please tell me which settings I need to change so that I don't have to change browsers.

I was working on a work site and every time I wanted to delete an item a pop up would appear asking if I wanted to confirm deleting. I was tired of confirming and there was a box offering to stop the pop up. I clicked it and now I can not delete anything. I checked settings and added the site to allow popups that did not help. How do I fix this?
