Updated Thunderbird to 117.12.2 on the 25 June 2024. Since then I am not receiving emails on my computer. I have actually sent some emails but they don't save into the sent folder and I have had a "Add security exception" warning occured when sending.

So problem is not getting new emails since the latest update was loaded. Thanks Neil

Cannot use the hours dropdown on Calendar Widget in Mozilla, when I click on the hours, the dropdown appears for half a second and then dissapears, so I cannot use it. Works fine with Edge and Chromium. OS Ubuntu 24.04. Tried private mode and disabling add-ons - only one I have is UBlock. When inspecting the console does not show any errors.

All morning I had been receiving and sending emails without issue. Then at approx 12:41 PM EST Thunderbird stopped working. I can send and receive emails through AOL to AOL but they do not show up in Thunderbird. I did not have any other computer issues and did not change any settings. Verizon told me it was an AOL issue, but I was able to successfully send and receive messages with AOL. AOL tried to fix it but ultimately said it was a Thunderbird issue. In the last 6 or 7 weeks I have had issues with Thunderbird. What is going on? Very Very Frustrating!!!

Every time I use YouTube on Firefox it feels like a mental torture. It starts off with micro-stutters initially - annoying but nothing crazy. After some time the loading speed of the website and the videos themselves increase dramatically. And eventually it becomes unusable:

• Scrolling feels like the website is running at 30 fps
• The videos take several seconds to load
• It also takes multiple seconds to catch up when you select a specific moment of the video

The only solution so far has been restarting Firefox entirely, just close and open and pray. Then the problem comes back after some time.

Solutions I Tried:

• Disabling AdBlock (didn't work)
• Enabling Hardware Acceleration at all time (didn't work)
• Uninstalling unwanted Extenstions (didn't work)

All of these problems disappear when using Chrome or Edge.

I can send emails but when try to receive emails I get Login to server inbound.att.net with username topgun30@sbcglobal.net failed.

I installed the new version of Thunderbird, and it's strange. I can receive emails and send emails, but I'm getting an error message at the bottom right corner of my screen:

Could not connect to the mail server (and then it names my server name) The connection was refused

What do I gotta do to make this go away?

Ever since the last update of Thunderbird, my Junk and Trash folders are empty. When I mark a message as Junk or throw something in the Trash, the messages simply disappear. I have no way of checking the Junk mailbox for messages that might be there in error. I am also unsure whether my Trash messages are being deleted permanently, or whether they are in a hidden mailbox somewhere. Please help if you can!

I am using Firefox 127 on Ubuntu.

When I press the Control key, I often lose focus in the window I am currently viewing. This is annoying as it prevents me from copy-pasting for example.

Sometimes the focus is back when I release Control, sometimes it is lost and I have to click again on the text field. It does not happen on all websites, for example support.mozilla.org works well, but it happens on duckduckgo or overleaf.

It does not seem to be the same as existing issues such as [the "show mouse when press Ctrl" of Ubuntu] (it is disabled) or an addon (the problem still happens in safe mode).

In case it is useful, when I press Control the tab bar background goes slightly darker, see attached images.

For over a month now i have a problem with youtube. It loads videos very badly. I have good connection speed, but 0 network activity and 0 buffer health in Stats For Nerds on youtube and videos dont load. I can wait for 10-15 minutes (but sometimes they load almost instantly) before video load 40 sec buffer and after that buffer ends i can wait for another 10 minutes befor it load buffer again.

This problem persist only in my firefox on my computer. I tried deleting all the extensions, reinstalling firefox, "refresh firefox" future, changing useragent, reinstalling windows (it was the time anyways) but it doesnt solve the problem. I dont have this problem in other browsers (edge, librewolf, chrome) on my computer.

OS: win 11 x64 Firefox 127.0 x64

I installed Firefox years ago. This morning, when I click on the browser icon, I get this message: Error platform '127.0.2' is not compatible with minVersion>= 127.0.1 maxVersion<= 127.0.1

What is going on? The browser updates itself so I don't do anything. But now, it doesn't work. I use an alternate browser to send this message to you.

After Thunderbird update 115.12.2(20240621154414) was installed on my PC on the 25/6/2024 I am unable to receive emails. I continue to get an error message on account noeljc@optusnet.com.au (IMAP)

   Connection to server mail.optusnet.com.au timed out.

or Failed to connect to server mail.optusnet.com.au. I have looked thru all the forums and tried various solutions without success including extending the setting for mailnews.tcptimeout to 3000. I have checked and validated my account server settings are as recommended by my ISP(Optus) are correct for authenticated emails. I even turned off my Norton VPN completely to no avail even though I use Split tunnelling to allow Thunderbird thru it as an exclusion. It appears to me there maybe a bug in the last Thunderbird update causing this. I have had this issue in the past at various times intermittently but it has always seemed to correct itself. I have been in contact with my ISP(Optus) regarding this error and all they could say was to logon to email server via webmail and did not offer any other solution. It appears there is a communication breakdown between my PC and the Email server somewhere. As I stated this only happened after the last Thunderbird update on my PC on 25/6 as it was working up until 24/6. I also have another optus email account for my wife on Thunderbird which has the same error messages. Could the Mozilla gurus please advise what to do.

Automatically hide taskbar in desktop mode => Enabled Firefox => Maximised When cursor is moved to outer edge of screen, taskbar should unhide (Expected behaviour) but in this case it remain hidden (Reality). Firefox along with all other spinoffs give same result. Chromium based browser works perfect, and taskbar automatically unhide itself.

As OLED screen have became common as monitor, Taskbar auto-hide is must. If this issue cann't be fixed I may have to change my primary browser which I used for almost 15 years.

Kindly, look into it. If Chromium can do it, why not Firefox.

When a user opens hh.ru / headhunter.ru (famous HR portal in CIS countries) in Firefox, and then opens dev panel and tries to interact with it, especially with the code inspect tool, the whole browser stops responding.

The problem persists even on a clean Firefox profile. Other browsers (Chromium-based) work well with the dev panel on the hh.ru site.

Hi. Every page I visit I get at least one message popping up with the URL at the top, the message body of "1" and the option for OK. Many pages have multiple prompts for what looks like advertising sites (based on the URLs). Sometimes I get the option to check a box saying "don't allow URL to prompt you again"

I guess it might be some sort of debugging mode? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and it still happens. I am on latest versions: Firefox 127.0.2 on a MacBook Pro (2019) with MacOS Sonoma v14.5.

Can you please help me to remove these prompts? It makes Firefox pretty much impossible to use due to multiple clicks per page load. I've tried searching for help pages but it's very hard to explain the problem to a search engine! Human needed! :)

I am using Windows 11 and FF 127.02. I have read the lag issue with Youtube was suppose to be corrected with FF 127.02 but it is not. I have been using FF for many years now an love it. It is my understanding that it is the ad blockers causing the slow down. Do you have an estimated date when this will be resolved. I have tried every trick included running it in diagnostic mode or trouble shooting mode. Nothing seems to work. Not even a refresh.

I've been out of town. After returning home Firefox updated to 127.0.2 but now it will not close its process when I close its window. When I try to launch Firefox again I get the error message below and attached:

"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window. <Close Firefox> <Cancel>"

When I select "Close Firefox" the new Firefox window will then launch. However, if I open any web page the same error occurs after closing the window.

If I launch Firefox and then close it without opening a web page I do not get the error the next time I launch. Somehow going to any web page in Firefox prevents that instance of Firefox from closing.

I'm running Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.4529 and it's shown as up-to-date.

I can't download anything by that green download button (Youtube). I just receive error messages, see attachment. I have read their FAQ and I have latest versions of Firefox and savefrom.net helper.

Almost daily I get a message to download or dismiss update. When I dismiss the message, it continues to pop up. When I hit download, nothing happens. This is locking up my computer at times & slowing everything down. I actually don't see the need for daily updates. What is causing this and how can I stop it?
