I want to increase the font size of the File, Edit, View menu. The add on increased the font size the the tabs, etc, but did not chage the size of these.

That is most likely not possible on a Mac because on Mac the menu bar is under control of the Mac OS and can't be modified via Firefox. So code in userChrome.css and extension won't be able to do this for the menu bar.
