This started a couple weeks ago when I open a new window, all the tabs from the previous session open. I have it set to open to my homepage and it always has been. I didn't change any settings, install any new addons (I read some can cause this, and none of the addons ever caused this before). I also haven't used the restore session from History or anything similar.

I've tried switching it to open a blank page, but it still always opened previous tabs. I've looked through all kinds of FAQ's and questions, but can't find a solution. How can I fix this?

please try the following in order to switch off sessionrestore completely: enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preferences named browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo. double-click on those entries and change both of their values to 0.

I found that answer while digging through similar questions, they're both set at 0, but for some reason it didn't fix the issue. Thank you though for the help.

You can check if you have an user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that sets the browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once pref to true.

Are there other browser.sessionstore.* prefs that weren't the default?

You can check the browser.sessionstore.* prefs on the about:config page and reset user set (bold) browser.sessionstore.*prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu to make sure that Session Restore is enabled and working properly.
