started getting 400 bad request when going to yahoo news= no problem with IE

Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. This problem started this am, updated to 9.0 problem still there. I do not usually use IE but it does not have the problem.

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.


Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

This solved the problem. All cookies associated with Yahoo were deleted.
