I want to open Firefox but keep getting message from "XP antivirus 2012 security center"that Firefox is infected with a Trojan and has 29 other viruses. Even when I tell this "antivirus 2012" security center I want to proceed anyway without signing up for their antivirus program, they won't let me. Have you heard of this before? Is there a way around this so I don't have to pay for this program? I was just trying to get on the laptop for the first time since Mar. I was ironically going to update my AVG security software since it expired in May but this is the first time I've been on.

That "XP antivirus 2012" is malware itself - that "scan" is fake. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware worked to get rid of it for ma a few months ago.
