My new Comcast internet service is stuck as the homepage. How do I fix this?

This does not seem to be a problem on Safari. I contacted Comcast customer service and they do not know what to do. I've disabled the Comcast add-ons to no avail. I can change the homepage within a browsing session, but when I quit Firefox and restart it defaults back to Comcast as the home page instead of what I want. Thanks for your help.

After going in circles with Comcast for days, I finally found this solution:

He seems to be the only one who has posted any instructions that work perfectly.

Comcast installs a java script file under your "User" file in Mozilla. You need to remove it.

Also be sure to send them a note letting them know you had to deal with this problem. There are a lot of others as frustrated as you are, who still haven't found the solution, and nobody at Comcast seems to know wtf we're talking about when we contact them about it.

Thanks -- that worked perfectly. No one at Comcast had any idea when I talked with them ... frustrating.
