I downloaded the latest version yesterday - since then unable to run Firefox. I am using Windows Vista, and have followed advice to update windows. No joy yet. Any suggestions?

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox yesterday, as prompted. Since then Firefox will not run at all, and I have reverted to internet explorer. I have followed advice to get windows updates, but still not working. I am using Windows Vista. Is there anything else you can suggest?
