My wife and i are going on vacation. We will be sharing access to her laptop while away. She has currently Firefox sync set up on her laptop and her ipad and iphone. I want to separately set up Firefox sync on her laptop entering my account info.....so i can share my favorites etc separately. Can you please help me do that. Thanks

With sync, there is no master. And no way of separating different profiles.

May I suggest; http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition

A fully functional package of Firefox optimized for use on a USB key drive. A specialized launcher will allow most favorite extensions to work as you switch computers.

Firefox Portable is a 3rd-party build. Support is available here: http://portableapps.com/forums/support/firefox_portable

You can use sync to share data between profiles. But some data cannot be shared between different versions.

User data is contained in what is called a "Profile". https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data Sync works per Profile so that separate Profiles on the same laptop (device) and the user data will remain separate, and not become merged.

The easiest way to proceed would be to create a separate Logon User Account in Windows where the "user data" for all applications is stored separately. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account

Mac OSX has a similar feature: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25796?locale=en_US

Or a separate Firefox Profile can be created within an existing Logon User Account. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

You can also setup separate profiles for each of you and use a desktop shortcut to start Firefox with a specific profile (add a space and -P "profile-name" to the target line in the shortcut).

That way each of you can setup Sync with their own Firefox account.
