In the last couple of months whenever I'm on the internet and while using Firefox my computer goes blue screen with the error NETSYS failed! I have tried troubleshooting every possible thing with no success! The only time the problem stops is when I uninstall Firefox.I have installed Firefox about 5 or 6 times in the last two months only to have the problem return. The one constant I notice is that after an install I'm fine until Firefox updates, then sometime that day my computer will crash!

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, there is a company called that that makes a wide variety of computer parts. It does make routers and some motherboard pieces. As to which is now owned by Cisco and which is a new company I can not tell if you have a router you can trace to that then maybe see if there is a firmware for it. Network card should possibly update drivers for that as well as they made them.

Now if this is a older computer or if you formatted and installed Win10 and allow it to update the drivers for your motherboard and such then that could be the issue is your running Microsoft out dated drivers.

Search for Device Manager and go through the list and Right Click and tel it to look for newer drivers. If notice all replaced/some by Microsoft then need to know way around drivers/motherboards.

The thing I can suggest though is when you do crash open a question and send the bp- and the part of the files as in the picture below. We can go through these logs and figure things out much better.

In the mean time maybe someone else has an other solution.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Please go to Windows Administrative Tools --> Event Viewer or just search for Event Viewer. Please check the left hand columns for the time the issue happened or repeat it and look afterwards as to what it says was the crash reason. Video Card Drivers are a main issue. But to determine what Crashed your OS you need to go there.

You can try this to fix Registry issues and System File problems : Use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu and select Command Prompt (Admin).

Type or Copy/Paste the following command and press Enter:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
