I have a website on HostPapa (the website is www.banfieldsholidayflats.com) and recently I have had added SSL single domain security. I was led to believe that when this has been done a green padlock and the words 'https' will automatically show up to the right of the website name, showing that it was a safe website.

On checking it with my own computer, which uses Mozilla Firefox 45.0.2 version, the padlock and https do not show. I have been in contact with HostPapa who say that everything is correct and in place. In fact, they have sent me a page grab showing my website with the padlock and https in place, and where they have used Mozilla as their browser.

Have you any suggestions please.

Kind regards,

Roger Banfield

I get the green padlock if I use the HTTPS protocol, but there is usually no need to access a normal website. Only page that deal with financial transaction or login pages (password) are recommended to access via a secure connection.

Did you add the HTTPS protocol?
