firefox wont open, install or uninstall
Tried to update my Java. it wouldnt update. Afterwards I tried to open Firefox and it wont open. no error message...just makes a funky sound and nothing happens. Tried to unistall in control panel and tried to update using ie and chrome but none of it worked. It wont uninstall and it wont reinstall. ....HELP oh and Im still on xp

Can you confirm if you can open it from the ProgramFiles directory. It should be:- C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/firefox.exe
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
Try to start Firefox with the about:blank page by creating a copy of the current Firefox desktop shortcut. Add a space and -url "about:blank" to the target field in the Properties.
