The most used versions are the latest versions, plus the one before it. So right now, Firefox 40 and 39 are the most used versions. We release updates every 6 weeks, so this will change in a few weeks time.

If it is critical to your business to support users of older versions of Windows and Mac, you might also want to test:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 => Firefox 16 is the highest version that runs (Oct 2012)
  • Windows 2000 => Firefox 12 is the highest version that runs (Apr 2012)
  • Windows Server 2003 => Firefox 12 is the highest version that runs (Apr 2012)
  • Windows XP without SP2 or SP3 => Firefox 12 is the highest version that runs (Apr 2012)
