the last month or so Firefox has been crashing frequently. I've tried refreshes and that never seems to help. Just today I've had theses crashes bp-e98be948-5814-4b6c-9aab-962212160710 bp-7902661a-b63a-43b5-a068-4a70b2160710 bp-4490f891-ae86-4986-849c-0afc52160710 bp-f131e818-bd0d-45e1-9ef4-6f1402160710 bp-0b12fc63-26bf-4d22-aa69-294bc2160710 I can send more crash reports if I need to.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox. Do a clean install of the graphics driver if possible.

The crash report says failure of msmpeg2adec.dll module. It is usually related to problems encountered by the application that runs it(for e.g Skype etc usually have those libraries). If you are using such an application, try using a the latest-compatible-version.

It is also possible that the original file is missing/corrupt due to improper shut-down or virus-infection or issues in Windows registry. Try re-installing the msmpeg2adec.dll file in the C:\Windows\system32 folder manually.

A safe way to stop these errors is to uninstall the application and run a system scan to automatically identify any PC issues.

I'll try disabling hardware acceleration. What would be the best way to go about fixing that file? I did a google search and I found various downloads, but I don't know how trustworthy they are.
