Using the Run feature to open Thunderbird - my husband and I have separate email accounts here...... but after doing a spyware/malware clean up - the Run command that was saved is gone and I don't know what it was to go find our emails........

Our emails are coming from RoadRunner, so we are using Thunderbird to get them. We have 3 separate accounts set up - one for myself, one for my husband and one for my Mother. We used the Run Command to open Thunderbird - then chose which of the three accounts we wanted to go to...... I have lost the command that we used in RUN to get to all three accounts. Currently I can only get to my account - my husband wants to get to his emails. Please help me with the RUN command that we have lost. Thank you. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird and lose everything we have already downloaded now.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -ProfileManager or "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -ProfileManager

Instead of using run all the time, do the following.

After you work out which run actually works. Right click your desktop and select new and then shortcut. In the location of the item, paste the run command that works. (Ctrl_V will paste. Selecting text and pressing Ctrl+C will copy. So even though there is no paste button or menu you can still paste. Click next, Check the title information and Finish.

Now there will be an icon on the desktop to open Thunderbird and you can pick the profile from the list.

I can only open my email..... my husband's account is still out there. We aren't being directed to open one or the other...... How can we get it back to where we had to make a choice - open mine or open his? Do I have open a new account so he can get his emails again? and If I don't remember the password for his original, then he loses everything out there waiting for him? Can Mozilla help me with the password I originally used?

did you paste those paths into the run dialog? The thing is case sensitive and getting it wrong will rersult in the profile manager not opening.

One add-on I use is the profile switcher https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/profileswitcher/?src=search

The add-on puts entries on the bottom of the traditional file menu to manage profiles. Pressing F10 will display the traditional; menu if it is hidden.
