I have a DSL router and can not talk to it. It does not support https protocols but when I put in the address 192.168.0.1/status.html it changes it to https:192.168.0.1/status.html. This is a laptop and I have talked to another route that uses https at the same address but at a different location. How do I stop it from doing this?

Hello, I wanted to restore Firefox to start clean. I wanted anyway to reinstall my (few) extensions, all of which are safe and well known. When I do that, though, their icons don't show up in the toolbar. When I open the "customize toolbar" setting, extension icons aren't there. So there's no way to add them to toolbar.

I tried all possible methods: - "Restore Firefox" and resync my account (extensions are reinstalled but icons not shown in toolbar / customize toolbar) - "Restore Firefox", not syncing, and manually installing extensions (icons still not shown in toolbar / customize toolbar) - Uninstall Firefox, delete everything in Profiles folder, reinstall Firefox. Same behavior.

So, it seems it's something not related to a broken profile, since a fresh profile, with no syncing, does not fix the issue.

Any clue of what I could try? Thanks!

I use Firefox on MacOS 13.4. to read mail from a provider. For some strange reason some mail bodies are being displayed with a completely garbled and unreadable font, see attached image. However, not all mail show this behaviour. Is there any solution for this?

For about one month (June, 2023) or more, updated Firefox for Windows 10 cannot play YouTube videos or videos on other website without being in Troubleshoot mode. Google Chrome has no problem with the same videos, and Firefox for Android also plays them. All help suggestions have been followed, including Refreshing Firefox, disabling some and all hardware acceleration, etc. Troubleshoot mode does not identify what was disabled (themes, extensions, etc.), but there are very few of such anyway, and Refresh did not resolve the issue. VPN was also disabled to see if that made any difference, but it did not. When the videos are attempted, the audio and progress bar work, but video is black. Scrolling with the progress bar reveals all images from the video one at a time, but PLAY does not enable the video, just audio.

Hello? I have a comment for extension with history erase error. I use Firefox browser with the Grammarly extension. After Firefox's history erased, the Grammarly log in was signed out. After history clean, I want to keep Grammarly logging in. After Chrome's history cleaned, Grammarly extension was logging in. Can you add History feature for exception of stay app's log in extension after clean?

Lately for the last 3ish days my YouTube connection speed on Firefox and only Firefox has been terribly slow. So slow that it can't even watch normal HD content. But not always, sometimes it does work at normal internet speeds which is so weird. I have around 500 Mbps download speed internet so I know it's not the issue. The picture with the slow download speed is on Firefox and the fast/normal download speed is on Chrome. Sometimes in a private window Firefox runs at normal speed but not always, I don't think it's an extension issue.

when i search something in the search bar up by the address bar it is suppose to be using google thats how i got it setup but lately its been searching under yahoo why please help

My Ledger is having a problem linking to MetaMask in Firefox. This happened to me a couple months ago and I followed the steps in the MetaMask support article about this very problem. I got it to work right away at that time by going to "about:config" and setting u2f to "true." I followed those same instructions again today to no success. I also updated to the current firmware on my Ledger device. I've restarted Firefox, my Ledger, and my computer in every order I can think of and nothing has changed. I've changed u2f to "false" then restarted and then back to "true" and restarted and nothing changed. I'm out of things to try so I'm messaging in hopes of finding a solution. Thanks.

I don't understand what happened in the last 10 minutes where both my pc and my laptop can no longer open youtube videos in a new tab by right-clicking. I haven't made any changes, I haven't downloaded anything or installed anything new. The last firefox update for both machines happened yesterday between 1 and 2 in the afternoon. 18 hours after an update, I just lose a basic feature? I'm able to right-click and open youtube vids in edge. So it has to be a firefox thing... Any ideas or suggestions?

I want to remove any and all auto suggested search options from the search bars within whatever website I visit, such as the one shown below. This is not related to auto suggested options with Firefox's URL bar. This is for the search bar within websites.

Hello, Microsoft Defender did a scan tonight and apparently detected a trojan script, located in the folders for Firefox extensions for both profiles I use on my computer

This scan happened at 9pm, and a previous scan at 6pm didn't show anything. When it detected the script, MS Defender contained it and apparently deleted it when it asked me to restart the computer, I then did a full offline scan and nothing else showed up, same with a full scan with the free version of Malwarebytes. I didn't do anything unusual between 6pm and 9pm, so I'd like to know if there's a way to determine whether that script was an actual threat (instead of a false alarm)? If so, any way to know how long it has been on my computer? Any further risks to take into consideration? Other steps to follow? Thanks for the help

I no longer have the bookmark icon available on the tool bar. ALL bookmarks have vanished. Tried using tips to restore with no success. Also have lost all saved passwords. Not getting anywhere to solving this
