Outlook email accounts are duplicating and asking for passwords which are in the password manager. T/B does not accept the entered password. Gmail accounts are also duplicating and adding weird passwords. Just started last week. Probably has something to do with the new Microsoft Authorizarion rules. It is a mess. I have been a lifetimme used if Mozilla and Thunderbird.

I first mentioned this in r/Firefox, and was asked to re-post here.

My FF just updated to 127.0.1 even though I have "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" and told it to wait. This was on a Windows 11 box. Everything seemed fine, but then one of my tabs crashed. I selected the reload tab option, at which point it informed me it could not load the tab because a background update had happened and I was now required to restart Firefox.

I'm not certain what version of FF I was on, I believe it was either 126 or 126.0.1.

Now, to be completely fair, I cannot with 100% certainty say that I clicked on the update later option. That said, as I _did not want to update then_, and I have put off the update before, it seems unlikely I would have made the mistake, but I wasn't recording everything I did so I can't play it back and prove it. My initial reaction was to associate it with the tab crashing somehow, as everything was working as expected right up until that moment.

How to delete no longer needed desktop icons (not the file, just the icon ! I've followed the online instructions to right click the icon and press delete. However, nothing happens, icon not deleted ! !

Please tell me how I can delete unused, unnecessary, icons from my desktop ! I've already tried right click & delete, but doesn't work !

I have Windows 11, Firefox yahoo email. I must have clicked somewhere that consolidated all my email to the left in a narrow format. Can't locate where to correct it. Also had no luck attaching a screen shot. Next to the condensed email, is another column that is blank except for the white envelope. Is there a place where I can change the format? Thank you.

I can't stay on this site for very long at all, and do my best to write out what I need as quickly as possible then leave. I would never contribute to answering any questions other then my own because how bright it is will eventually cause me pain.

In my view, it represents an amateurish view on website design and likely has an impact of skewing the regular user base to people that don't mind it.

A user who only subjects themselves to this painfully, pointlessly white website if they absolutely have to.

Temporary hiding of emails when I delete one

Not always, but frequently when I delete an email from an inbox, the other emails are hidden for awhile. This occurs whether I am pressing Del while the email is visible, or pressing Del with the email selected in the Inbox. If, however, I immediately open another folder and then re-open the inbox, all emails are instantly visible. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a "feature"?  ;-) Regards, Dave

have been using Thunderbird mail for about 3 years. It’s template selected the incoming and outgoing servers and ports etc..successfully. I've been connecting to Prodigy mail/ATT I had to change the battery and it doesn't work anymore. Can you help ???it checks the password until it shows an error message that the servers password or etc are wrong. I know the password is right since I can log in directly. Messages :

1- Configuration found in ISP Database

2- Checking Password (for a few minutes

3- Unable to log in at server..probably wrong configuration username or password

4 then nothing

Worked great before battery change

Why won't Thunderbird send emails when connected to NordVPN? I have spoken to Spectrum and NordVPN and both of them have suggested that Thunderbird is the issue. I have confirmed that my SMTP settings are correct. I can send and receive from the Web client's site. I have turned off NordVPN and the sending process works as expected. However when I turn NordVPN back on, my outgoing emails are blocked.

Hello, When sending a message from my gmail account within TB, I would like to automatically attach one of my other adresses as bcc: . How can I do that ?

As an alternative, is there a way to automatically copy the message in my sent folder in my gmail account to my local sent folder ? Using a filter perhaps , but I have been unable to create a filter that operates on the Sent folder.

Mozilla Firefoz crashes multiple times after waking laptop from sleep

The behavior began with fifteen to twenty crash messages appearing. After which the browser would stop responding and be unable to reach out to the internet.

Network connectivity was confirmed as I was able to access my VPN and corporate teams.

I submitted as many crash reports as I could. Eventually the crash reporter ceased to function. The message is:

Firefox had a problem and crashed. Unfortunately, the crash reporter is unable to submit a report for this crash.

Details: expected value at line 1 column 1

Only a full reboot of the machine restored functionality but only temporarily. It returns after being put into sleep mode.

Running firefox in safe mode does not restore functionality. The behavior persists.

I am fully up to date according to firefox.

I am running a Lenovo Thinkpad Windows 11.

Hi, I just reopened Thunderbird after my computer was shut down automatically after a Dell firmware update. I had 15 email tabs open before this -- things I wanted to go back to or that reminded me to do something. They are now empty! I have gone into Troubleshoot mode a couple of times and restarted Thunderbird. I've also checked the "remove addons (or something like that)" check box. No luck. Can someone out there help? I'm going to try restarting my computer now. Thanks!

I'm trying to pair my Pocket account on my Kobo Clara. I've tried pairing using both my phone and Desktop using the Firefox browser on the most recent versions. When I press the authorize button I receive an error saying "There was a problem trying to connect this app to Pocket. Please try again." The Desktop site is a little more descriptive saying "Can't log in to Pocket We're currently experiencing intermittent issues logging in to Pocket accounts. We're working closely with Pocket to resolve the situation, and apologize for any inconvenience. Please try logging in later." I'm not sure if this a Pocket error or a Kobo error. But any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Here is the most recent one: I can't buy bus tickets on a largest provider in Lithuania (nothing happens after clicking "Pay").

It worked in Chromium Browser.

Tried normal, private mode, safe mode and nothing worked.

I have Firefox 127.0.2 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 22.04. I have 0 extensions or addons installed.

Another one: I cannot select the country code from the drop down list when entering phone number in Ryanair, so basically I can't buy flight tickets from there. Chromium Browser didn't work as well, but Safari did.
