Hi, Like many other people I have Firefox setup just the way I like it - a few windows open, some windows with 10 tabs open, my most common pages open as pinned tabs, other windows with stuff I want to remain at the front of memory at least temporarily. The last 3 times I have updated Firefox, it opens without restoring my pages. I look in the History menu and both the 'recently closed windows' and 'recently closed tabs' items are greyed out. I really, really don't want to move away from FF, but this behavior is beyond frustrating. I've already checked I have 2 profiles: default and default-release (default). I tried 'Launch profile in new browser' for the other profile but it's empty. Any ideas how to figure out what the problem is? I'm on Windows 11. Thanks!

I have a problem with the import of my backup in FireFox. I made an backup with MozBackup (.pcv) with my old Computer, Now with the new one and new FireFox program I can't import it, as the import will not recognive the used format.

I have tried to solve it to convert it to .zip but then the import won't run, or quit's after about 25 to 30% import.

How can I resolve this problem, which also count's for the new Thunderbird. As I am now missing all the maps at both programs.

I am trying to open a website but I keep getting error code 522. I've tried using Chrome and it connects to the website with no problem. I've checked my privacy settings and I do not have that website blocked. What else can I check? I don't think it's an issue from the website side. I really appreciate everything you do, but I am a boomer (Loud and Proud), I did not get born with a device attached to my hand, I am a digital imbecile.

With all that in mind, it has become too difficult to keep up with the digitalisation, at least in my case. So when you send me suggestions and update procedures I end up just closing everything, too much to read, too stressing, but the suggestions keep coming every time I open the firefox browser. Can I not just keep the version I have and decline any new versions.

I also have a problem in regard to language, it is set to English, but I do not care for US English, I would like to have GB English, but somehow it won't accept that.

What can I do?

I enter my username & password and nothing happens. This occurs when I use Dashlane AND also if I enter username & password manually.

I can access my account successfully using Edge.

For the last few days Firefox keeps dropping off as the default browser and seems to be defaulting to the Avast Secure Browser thats installed instead.

I keep changing it back via both Firefoxs settings and via Windows default settings but within 10 minutes it falls off again.

How can I make sure Firefox stays as my default browser?

Picture in Picture is an awesome feature and i love that Firefox comes with it by default.

However I do wish for one thing. So we can lock and "click through" the picture in picture, instead of our mice being able to click it by mistake when doing other things (such as grinding on an MMO or something.)

Is there any way to get these options in the near future? It'd be great to play some games when watching a video during slow times! Thank you!

I have a full current installation of Firefox, after a struggle to get Bing off my system (Win11) I briefly got back to a personalized start page which had a large text "Firefox" heading and allowed me to add apps in small boxes and click to start an app. That page has disappeared and all I get is the ad referred to in the title. How can I replace the ad with the page I can load with app icons?

Right now i love my HDR content in most scenarios, except on a few sites where its just bad. Is it possible to be able to block it on certain sites where you dont want to apply it?

When I login to my main Firefox browser and then access a website within a short while the browser screen opens up again automatically. In other words, a second window which is very irritating. How can I stop this from happening?

As a longtime user of Firefox, I had a nice setup where after the start page, clicking on the Firefox icon would take me to a page headed "Firefox" in large letters. On that page I had placed the icons for my frequently used programs. Each of the small "icon boxes" had menus that would allow entering a URL so that when clicked, the desired app would open. I was exploring MS Bing, mostly because I like the pictures they put up each day. It looks as though a "new Improved" version of Bing brings along the new MS AI component. Together they seem to have removed my Firefox setup or hidden it where I can't retrieve it. By using Firefox settings, I was able to remove the Bing URL. Good riddance!, but can I retrieve my page of links to most-used programs? I don't know where to look for that. If I have to reconstruct it, how is that done. Or how can I start a replacement. Hi, I am experiencing an issue with desaturated icons in the toolbar and tabs of Firefox. I don't think any extesion may be causing this problem and i have already tried reinstalling and resetting Firefox, but this did not resolve the problem.

There is a folder on my Google drive called "Personality-provider". It has about 30 .json files. When is search "Personality-provider" on internet the results indicate this folder and files are associated with Firefox. A. Why are these stored on my google drive? B. Can I delete them from my google drive? C. What are these files? D. Are they necessary for me to have backed up? See images. Many thanks. Will

J'ai essayé de faire une réparation, mais désormais j'ai également perdu mes extensions et lorsque je veux les réinstaller, on m'affiche : "Échec du téléchargement. Veuillez vérifier votre connexion." (par exemple pour ublockorigin)

My computer (Windows 11) crashed while I was using Firefox--for the first time that I've seen, it did a full disk check. When booting back up, I was unable to use Firefox, since it said that my profiles.ini file was lost/corrupted.

After renaming the old file, I went back to the folder. It was easy enough to reinstall the add-ons that I needed, but I'm trying to get my bookmarks back. However, I can't seem to find them--the "bookmarkbackups" folders that come up are too new, and only one (the current one) has a file in it.

Any help will be appreciated! I'm not sure what I can do.

Hi all, For the last few months I've had a persistent issue with my Firefox browser on Windows where I have to continually toggle the 'Ask to save passwords' option so that Firefox fills my username and passwords automatically, gives me the option to save them automatically and so on.

Everytime I click the option on, it works for maybe a few days before I have to yet again toggle it on even though I haven't done anything like close my Firefox window, restart my computer or any similar thing. My Firefox and laptop are also on their latest updates and regardless this issue has continued through multiple update cycles.

It is very frustrating as I'm applying for jobs regularly so manually having to use alternate ways to autofill my details is annoying - I know a password manager is probably the best solution but regardless this is still a very annoying issue.
