When viewing UTF-8 encoded xml data in Firefox, if you right-click and select "Save Page As" and save the xml data to a file, Firefox converts the information from UTF-8 to windows-1252. Chrome/Edge don't have this problem. They can both save the data to a file with the UTF-8 encoding intact. This causes a problem when viewing IdP metadata and saving it from Firefox as the metadata gets changed during the file save process.

I am using Firefox ESR 102.2.0 version which I updated yesterday. Now when I try to login to my account on "https://myaccount.hdfclife.com/login", the captcha is covered and I can not read it. See the attached file.

It was working fine in the previous esr release 102.1.0. I have tested it with a new profile and captcha is visible in 102.2.0 version.

My query is about the cause of this issue and how can I fix it. I have checked and found that this issue does not appear on other websites. If there is an issue with the profile it should be with other websites which is not the case.

Please help

This morning I had trouble updating my Firefox after the new update. Went to our IT people, who uninstalled Firefox, and installed a new one. The new one updated fine. However, I had forgotten my password, and had to reset it when logging in into the newly installed Firefox. Now I am logged in, but cannot see any of my bookmarks, etc. Essentially Firefox is treating my account as a new one and does not remember any of my settings. Is there anything I can do to recover my settings and bookmarks?

Thanks, Yuri
