lost my file of favorites that were imported

I was having trouble today with my computer. When I restarted my file of Favorites that were imported from Internet Explorer was missing. Also missing that I had booked marked on the tool bar, blue letter bible, facebook, youtube, dictionary. Don't know if I lost them, I know I can put blue letter bible, facebook, youtube, dictionary back on but I would like to recover the Favorite File.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
